Cartwright Community Center Rental Guidelines
Thank you for considering the Cartwright Community Center for your event. As a facility owned and operated by Cartwright Baptist Church, we strive to provide a welcoming space for community activities that align with our Christian values of love, respect, and service. To ensure a positive experience for all, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Purpose of Use
– The Cartwright Community Center is available for events such as meetings, family gatherings, community programs, and other activities that promote positive, family-friendly, and community-oriented values.
– Events must align with the mission and values of Cartwright Baptist Church. Activities that conflict with Christian principles, including but not limited to those promoting illegal behavior, immorality, or division, are not permitted.
– All events are subject to approval by the church’s leadership team.
- Reservation Process
– Submit a rental request form at least two weeks in advance online. This form will allow you to input all of the event details.
– A non refundable security deposit and rental fee (based on event type) are required upon approval.
- Facility Care and Stewardship
– Treat the building and its contents with respect, as a reflection of good stewardship.
– No smoking, alcohol, or illegal substances are permitted on church property.
– Decorations must be pre-approved and should not damage walls, floors, or furnishings (e.g., no tape, nails, or staples on surfaces).
– Users are responsible for cleaning the facility after use, including removing trash, wiping surfaces, and returning furniture to its original setup.
– Report any damages or issues to the church office immediately. Renters are liable for repair costs.
– All trash must be removed at the end of event; Trash bags provided.
- Conduct and Safety
– All attendees must behave in a manner consistent with Christian values, showing respect for others and the facility.
– Events must comply with local laws and safety regulations, including occupancy limits and fire codes.
– Adequate adult supervision is required for events involving children or youth.
– Firearms or weapons are not permitted, except by authorized security personnel approved by the church. Open carry not permitted.
– The church is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
- Prohibited Activities
– Events involving gambling, occult practices, or content that contradicts Biblical teachings are not allowed.
– Loud music or activities that disrupt the peace of the surrounding community are prohibited.
– Commercial activities require special approval and may incur additional fees.
- Audio/Visual and Equipment Use
– Use of church-owned A/V equipment, kitchen facilities, or other resources must be requested in advance and may require a trained operator provided by the church.
– Users are responsible for any damage to equipment during their event.
- Cancellations and Refunds
– Notify the church office at least 48 hours in advance for cancellations to receive a full refund of the rental fee. The security deposit will be refunded pending a facility inspection.
– The church reserves the right to cancel reservations if guidelines are violated or if the facility is needed for church-related purposes. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.
- Liability
– Renters assume responsibility for their event and attendees, including any accidents or injuries.
– The church is not liable for any incidents occurring during the rental period.
- Hours of Operation
– The building is generally available for rental from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, unless otherwise approved.
– All events must conclude, and the facility must be vacated, by the agreed-upon end time.
